After years of war and conflict in Syria, children have been traumatised and are in need of psychological care
Without the right form of therapy and support, these children’s psychological wellbeing is at risk, which can have lasting negative effects during adulthood
Syrians have crossed the border to Turkey to find refuge
have suffered some psychological trauma
These children can become full of smiles, love and joy again
Our Broken Minds programme is built up of a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and mental health workers who are dedicated to rehabilitating these children. The results they obtain are profound, through therapy they can allow them to overcome the trauma.
Launched in July 2015, Muntada Aid’s Broken Minds project works with partner organisations to directly help Syrian children and their mothers, who are currently living in Istanbul, rebuild their lives.
