Over 4 million people are at risk of food insecurity and disease as a result of the heavy floods, due to the monsoon season across north and east of Bangladesh.
Emergency supplies are extremely limited and the risks of spreading disease are swiftly increasing.
The Rohingya refugees are amongst the most vulnerable community:
- Shelter tents have been swept away
- Water sources have been contaminated
- Food supplies are extremely limited
- A lack of access to vital medical facilities
