This Ramadhan, Stand With Sudanese Refugees in Chad
This Ramadhan, thousands of Sudanese families will break their fast having lost everything — their homes, their livelihoods, and their sense of security.
As violence continues in Sudan, families are crossing the border into eastern Chad in desperate search of safety. Many arrive after days of travel, exhausted, hungry, and carrying nothing but hope that someone will help them survive.
This Ramadhan, your donation can be that help.
A Crisis That Continues to Grow
More than 358,000 Sudanese refugees have now arrived in the border town of Adré in eastern Chad, and the numbers continue to rise. Refugee camps are being built as quickly as possible, but the reality on the ground is harsh. Shelter is limited, food supplies are stretched, and basic healthcare is almost nonexistent.
Families are sleeping in makeshift shelters or open land, exposed to the elements. Mothers are skipping meals so their children can eat. Elderly refugees and those with disabilities are left especially vulnerable.
For many, Ramadhan is not a time of ease — it is a time of endurance.
Feeding Families With Dignity This Ramadhan
Hunger is one of the most immediate and devastating challenges refugees face.
During Ramadhan, Muntada Aid is providing monthly food packs to refugee families in Chad, allowing them to nourish their families throughout the holy month.
These packs include essential staple foods that help families prepare simple meals to break their fast with dignity.
For families who have lost their income and access to markets, a food pack is often the difference between eating and going hungry. Your donation ensures that fasting families can focus on worship, not survival.
Restoring Sight to Those Living in Darkness
Among displaced communities, preventable blindness is widespread — particularly due to cataracts. Many elderly refugees have lived for years without access to even basic medical care, gradually losing their sight and independence.
Muntada Aid is supporting cataract surgeries as part of this Ramadhan deployment, offering people the chance to see again. A single surgery can transform a life, allowing someone to walk safely, care for themselves, and once again support their family.
Restoring sight is more than a medical intervention — it is restoring dignity, independence, and hope.
Providing Shelter for the Displaced
For thousands of refugees in Chad, shelter remains a daily struggle. Without proper housing, families are exposed to harsh weather, insecurity, and poor living conditions.
Your donation helps provide emergency shelter materials to displaced families, giving them a safe space to sleep, privacy, and protection from the elements. A simple shelter can offer stability in a time of complete uncertainty.
Muntada Aid’s Emergency Response
Muntada Aid has been responding to the Sudan crisis with urgent action on the ground. Every day, hot meals are provided to 2,500 people, while 8,400 individuals in Khartoum receive emergency food packs that last up to a month.
This Ramadhan, Muntada Aid is expanding its response in Chad — reaching more families with food, healthcare, and shelter. But the need continues to grow, and your support is essential.
