With the increased bombing of Ghouta, Syria this week, Muntada Aid calls on the international community to act - as it launches an emergency appeal to help those trapped in the area.
Hamid Azid, CEO at international aid charity Muntada Aid said; “We are calling on the international community to step in and stop the catastrophe which is taking place in Eastern Ghouta today.
“The past few days of bombings have killed over 300 people and injured many more. People have no water, food, medicine or shelter.
“With up to 20 airstrikes hitting the area every minute, this is a darkest time in the Syrian seven year conflict.
“We are holding an emergency appeal live on the Eman Channel and working closely with partner organisations to assist with aid”.
