One of Muntada Aid’s core values is providing dignity to people we support. Keeping that in mind, we aim to provide clean water solutions to people within their communities and ease off their burden of daily searching for freshwater resources.
According to a report recently published by the World Health Organisation, women and girls are responsible for water collection in 8 out of 10 households with water off-premises. Also, 1 million deaths each year are associated with unclean births. Infections account for 26% of neonatal deaths and 11% of maternal mortality.
Water and sanitation are fundamental to human health and dignity. We need to safeguard access to clean water and sanitation.
