Our Little Hearts team is currently on their 41st deployment in Tanzania, treating children suffering from various heart conditions.
This is our 7th mission in the country, and during previous missions, we have treated 417 children for various heart conditions. During our 7-day-long deployment, we are aiming to treat over 70 children.
We have assembled a team of 16 paediatric heart specialists from 3 countries for this mission.
These missions have immensely helped the country build its capacity and human resources in paediatric care.
Here Dr Peter Richard Kisenge, Executive Director, Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institue, Tanzania, explains how the continuous support from our Little Hearts team has managed the country to develop Tanzania's only medical centre that provides heart interventions to children.
About Little Hearts
