Joy of Life Mali 2024
The joy of life can be found anywhere and in any condition. I often see proof of this statement during my deployments to some of the world's most deprived areas.
I met Muhammad Ajrah during our Gift of Sight deployment in Mali. He is a man with little worldly comforts but full of fun and joy.
Our team of doctors operated on his cataracts, for which he had been waiting for six years.
I had a chance to speak to him in the hospital compound, and we enjoyed a bit of banter and shared thoughts about the joys of life.
