Muntada Aid’s Little Hearts team are on their first-ever deployment to Kosovo. On the day 1 of the mission, our team carried out four interventions and three open-heart surgeries.
All of these operations are free from the point of contact and powered by donations made by people in the UK and around the world.
Why Kosovo?
"Due to only gaining independence in 2008 the infrastructure for health is still being developed in Kosovo and unfortunately this means there is a long waiting list of children suffering from congenital heart defects which is why we are so pleased to be able to take Little Hearts to the country for the first time.”
Kabir Miah , Programmes Manager Muntada Aid.
