The number of internally displaced persons in Mali has quadrupled - from 50,000 in March 2018 to nearly 240,000 in March 2020 - due to violence and conflict. Even before the war, Mali remained one of the poorest countries in the world. With social indicators among the lowest in the world, the country ranks 184 out of 189 countries.
Muntada Aid has a long history of working in Mali. Over the years, we have been working with local communities, providing education and food to those in need.
Muntada Aid has started providing monthly family food packs to over 2900 people fleeing war and living as IDPS outside Bamako, the country's capital.
