The Forgotten People of Mali
The years of conflict in the country’s north have forced hundreds and thousands of people to flee their homes in the north of Mali. Many now live in the camps for internally displaced people on the outskirts of Bamako, the country’s capital city.
These camps need more access to regular aid and other facilities.
As the conflict in Mali continues to linger, it makes the lives of these vulnerable even more difficult.
During our recent deployment, Imran Asif from Muntada Aid visited one such camp in Sanou. This is his account of the people’s plight and struggles.
