The Impact of Violence on Ordinary People in Yemen

Abdullah Qaid Al-Shamiri had to leave everything he and his family held dear as violence forced them to flee and take refuge in the camp outside the port city of Aden. Here talks about the hardship, violence, difficulties they face daily and how Muntada Aid’s monthly food parcels are helping them survive.

Muntada Aid has been in Yemen since 2020 providing food assistance to 100 families (Over 700 people) at Taiz Refugee camp. Most of the people living at this camp are from the port city of Hodeidah after fighting erupted between the warring factions in 2018.

Since June 2020, We Have Delivered Over a Million Meals at Taiz Refugee Camp.

Yemen continues to suffer. The recent escalation in violence is threatening the fragile peace talks between warring factions. Yemen continues to remain one of the worst humanitarian crises in a generation.
