Why is Muntada Aid Working in Mali?
In recent years, Mali has been the victim of environmental disasters, political uncertainty, and armed conflict. Despite these challenges, the government and international charities are making great strides in providing universal healthcare and improving health services in the country.
Muntada Aid has been working in Mali for over 20 years.
During our recent deployment, we were able to hand over a vocational college to the local community, provide emergency relief to IDPs living outside Bamako, and offer free eye surgeries to people suffering from cataracts.
Here, Naif Sheikh, CEO of Muntada Aid, speaks about the importance of these deployments and our work in Mali and the wider Sahel region.
