Over the years, this annual event has helped people from war-torn Syria with housing, children from Ethiopia with education, clean drinking water for families in Africa, and food for hungry refugees from Yemen.

This years National Ride will be supporting the people of Niger, where half of the population has no access to a source of drinking water. Water-related diseases are one of the leading causes of death among children under five.

This year, we are teaming up with Munatada Aid to install at least 40 solar-powered water stations around the Sahel region of Niger, where there is a great need for such sustainable water projects.

About Solar Panel Powered Water Stations

The water table in some parts of Africa and Asia and far below the ground and traditional hand pumps are useless in these situations. Most of these areas still lack access to electricity, and high fuel costs mean that diesel-powered pumps are not ideal options in such places.

Solar water wells are not only cost-effective but sustainable to provide electricity in remote villages and communities.
