Tens of thousands of refugees across the Greek islands of Lesvos, Chios and Samos are at risk of winter related illness and death, as their camps are overcrowded and underserved.
Refugees continue to make the life-threatening journeys fleeing conflict in Syria, with up to 600 men, women and children arriving on any given day.
With inadequate shelter, a lack of winter clothing and warm layers, reduced food provisions and limited access to healthcare, the risks of winter related illnesses and death are significantly high.
To counter this critical situation for the refugees, Muntada Aid is delivering winter essentials in the refugee camps across three Greek islands, Lesvos, Chios and Samos.
