Education is the Key
The right to have access to basic education is at the heart of what Muntada Aid strives for. We believe that education is the key to an exit out of poverty. Yet 67 million children in the world’s poorest countries are denied this basic human right.
Our education programmes work to ensure that the various factors necessary for quality education are addressed. We help communities identify the obstacles to education, creating a fairer world by removing the barriers to opportunities.

Going further
We know that education doesn’t end at the primary level and poor countries could do with a more skilled and educated population. Which is why we also award scholarships to individuals from poor backgrounds, to create a new generation of leaders who will drive the need for change.
Sponsoring young adults helps them become contributors to the economic, social and political well-being of present and future generations. Our graduates have gone on to work in government and for the private sector companies, ensuring a life free from poverty.
Our commitment
We are heavily committed to quality education for all. Muntada Aid, along with our parent organisation, has built our first university in Africa. Situated in Mali’s capital, Bamako, the Sahal University creates more than 400 graduates every year.
